Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included this untitled work by Harold Ancart. It changed hands for a price of USD 431,800.00 (€ 405,293.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Ancart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Ancart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 431.800,00 (€ 405.293,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 1.018.500,00 (€ 835.246,84) versteigert wurde.
