Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Harold Ancart. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 201,600.00 (€ 231,492.81). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Harold Ancart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Harold Ancart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 201.600,00 (€ 231.492,81) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 1.018.500,00 (€ 835.246,84) versteigert wurde.
