Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (The Fall) by Harold Ancart was sold in the Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD auction at Christies in New York in March this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,274.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Harold Ancart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 1,018,500.00 (€ 835,246.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (The Fall) von Harold Ancart wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Edition: New York: Featuring the Collection of Kenwal Steel in Support of GLAAD bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.274,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Harold Ancart erzielen.
