Despite a disappointment, a good price for Hans van Hoek
In June 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Black water by Hans van Hoek for NLG 39,786.80 (€ 16,977.65). This price was achieved in the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of NLG 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Black water is the most expensive artwork by Hans van Hoek that we have observed at auction so far.

Im Juni 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Black water von Hans van Hoek für NLG 39.786,80 (€ 16.977,65) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
