Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ and the Twelve Apostles by Hans Sebald Beham was sold in the Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 1,280.00 (€ 1,209.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Sebald Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,291.08).

Die Arbeit Christ and the Twelve Apostles von Hans Sebald Beham wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.280,00 (€ 1.209,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Sebald Beham erzielen.
