Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Adam and Eve by Hans Sebald Beham was sold in the Dance of Death auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,328.00 (€ 3,050.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Sebald Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,291.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Adam and Eve von Hans Sebald Beham wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Dance of Death bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.328,00 (€ 3.050,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Sebald Beham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 71.291,08).
