Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hans Sebald Beham achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January this year. In the Old Master and 19th Century Prints auction, the work The Judgement of Paris sold for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,713.39) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Sebald Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,291.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Sebald Beham erzielte im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Prints wurde die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris für USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.713,39) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Sebald Beham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 48.000,00 (€ 71.291,08).
