Die Arbeit Boats in a harbour von Hans Bayens wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 1.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Bayens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Family im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
