Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 3,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Bayens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Family, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 13,750.00.

Die Arbeit Seated Nude In The Artist'S Studio von Hans Bayens kam im März 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Bayens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Family beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 13.750,00 versteigert wurde.
