In March 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Bending woman by Hans Bayens. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,250.00 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hans Bayens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Family in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im März 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bending woman von Hans Bayens zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.250,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Bayens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Family im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
