Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Han Yajuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Tomorrow I Will Marry You! sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,631.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Han Yajuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tribute To Marilyn in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 50,879.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Han Yajuan erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Tomorrow I Will Marry You! für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.631,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Han Yajuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tribute To Marilyn im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 50.879,67).
