Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Faint Fragrance by Han Yajuan was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition auction at Christies in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,820.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Han Yajuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tribute To Marilyn in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 50,879.67).

Die Arbeit A Faint Fragrance von Han Yajuan wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: New York Edition bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.820,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Han Yajuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tribute To Marilyn im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.900,00 (€ 50.879,67).
