Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vue de Paris by Gustave Cariot was auctioned at Christies in London in March this year. It achieved a price of GBP 30,240.00 (€ 34,403.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Cariot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prairial, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 131,250.00 (€ 124,266.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vue de Paris von Gustave Cariot kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 30.240,00 (€ 34.403,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Cariot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prairial beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 131.250,00 (€ 124.266,24) versteigert wurde.
