In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included this untitled work by Guo Wei. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 9,481.11), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bathroom Series No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 1,327,500.00 (€ 109,288.40).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Guo Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 9.481,11) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bathroom Series No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.327.500,00 (€ 109.288,40).
