Upper estimate price exceeded by 58 %.
In December 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Landscape by Guo Shangxian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 12,600.00 (€ 1,427.21), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Shangxian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Running Script in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Guo Shangxian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 12.600,00 (€ 1.427,21) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62).
