Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Guo Shangxian could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script changed hands for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 2,029.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Shangxian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Running Script in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guo Shangxian konnte im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wechselte die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 2.029,68) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62).
