Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Guo Shangxian. The price achieved of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,047.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guo Shangxian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem In Running Script in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Guo Shangxian zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.047,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62).
