Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script by Guo Shangxian. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,307.27). Admittedly, works by Guo Shangxian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem In Running Script in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script von Guo Shangxian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.307,27) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62).
