The work Calligraphy by Guo Shangxian was worth HKD 34,500.00 (€ 3,421.31) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Delightful Harmony - Fine Modern and Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Guo Shangxian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem In Running Script in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem In Running Script im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62).
