In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Child With Her Cap No.3 by Guo Jin. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,000.00 (€ 19,910.48), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Guo Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Child With Her Cap No.3 von Guo Jin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 19.910,48) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
