Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Merry Children No. 5 by Guo Jin for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,671.53). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Guo Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Merry Children No. 5 von Guo Jin für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.671,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
