Die Arbeit From Troundjeim (sic) Norway von Gunnar Widforss kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.367,29) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gunnar Widforss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grand Canyon im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.500,00 (€ 143.177,00).
