Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gunnar Widforss achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the California Art auction, the work Redwood Trees sold for USD 20,400.00 (€ 18,478.26) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gunnar Widforss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Canyon in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 121,500.00 (€ 143,177.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gunnar Widforss erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Redwood Trees für USD 20.400,00 (€ 18.478,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunnar Widforss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Canyon im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.500,00 (€ 143.177,00).
