This artwork by Gunnar Widforss achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in April this year. In the California Art auction, the work Half Dome from Glacier Point, Yosemite Valley sold for USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,407.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gunnar Widforss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Canyon in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 121,500.00 (€ 143,177.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gunnar Widforss erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Half Dome from Glacier Point, Yosemite Valley für USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.407,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunnar Widforss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Canyon im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.500,00 (€ 143.177,00).
