In August 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work A sunny terrace, Capri; and A lane with blossoming trees, Capri by Guido Odierna. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,516.80), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guido Odierna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri, which sold at auction in September 2006 for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Im August 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A sunny terrace, Capri; and A lane with blossoming trees, Capri von Guido Odierna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.516,80) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guido Odierna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri beobachtet, die im September 2006 für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71) versteigert wurde.
