In June 2006 Christies in Rome held the auction 19th Century Pictures, which included the work Mareggiata A Capri by Guido Odierna. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,108.00 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guido Odierna - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri, which sold at auction in September 2006 for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion 19th Century Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mareggiata A Capri von Guido Odierna zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.108,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Guido Odierna mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri beobachtet, die im September 2006 für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71) versteigert wurde.
