The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.26) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Guido Odierna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).

Die Arbeit Breaking Waves On The Shore; And Fishing Boats Moored Near The Capri Shore von Guido Odierna wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.167,26) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
