Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seascape with crashing waves by Guido Odierna was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2008. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 930.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Guido Odierna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seascape with crashing waves von Guido Odierna kam im August 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 930,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guido Odierna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71).
