Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Classic No. 54 by Guan Yong was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 448,400.00 (€ 50,518.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 380,000.00 – 480,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guan Yong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Do you Know? We are so distressed in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,420,000.00 (€ 251,410.79).

Die Arbeit Classic No. 54 von Guan Yong wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 448.400,00 (€ 50.518,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 380.000,00 – 480.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guan Yong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Do you Know?
