Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Two Planes by Guan Yong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 70,931.09) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guan Yong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Do you Know? We are so distressed, which sold at auction in May 2010 for HKD 2,420,000.00 (€ 251,410.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Planes von Guan Yong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 70.931,09) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guan Yong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Do you Know? We are so distressed beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für HKD 2.420.000,00 (€ 251.410,79) versteigert wurde.
