This artwork by Gu Yun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in March last year. In the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale auction, the work River Landscape, 1894 sold for USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,022.81) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Yun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reminiscence Of Hometown in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 132,790.27).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Yun erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale wurde die Arbeit River Landscape, 1894 für USD 4.462,50 (€ 4.022,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Yun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reminiscence Of Hometown im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 132.790,27).
