Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Poetry Landscapes by Gu Yun. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,847.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Yun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reminiscence Of Hometown in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 132,790.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poetry Landscapes von Gu Yun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.847,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Yun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reminiscence Of Hometown im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 132.790,27).
