Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections, which included the work Notes EE by Grisha Bruskin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,571.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grisha Bruskin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Logies, Part I in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 424,000.00 (€ 487,692.66).
