The work Blauer Samt (Blue Velvet) by Gregor Hildebrandt was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,548.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Gregor Hildebrandt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Faith in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 54,942.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Blauer Samt (Blue Velvet) von Gregor Hildebrandt kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.548,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gregor Hildebrandt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Faith im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 54.942,95).
