Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work I Got Stripes by Grear Patterson was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,648.58). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grear Patterson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pants On Fire, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit I Got Stripes von Grear Patterson kam im April 2017 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.648,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Grear Patterson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pants On Fire beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48) versteigert wurde.
