Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree Planting Group by Grant Wood was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of USD 3,584.00 (€ 3,391.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grant Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Study for "February" in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,058,500.00 (€ 760,471.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree Planting Group von Grant Wood wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.584,00 (€ 3.391,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grant Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Study for "February" im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.058.500,00 (€ 760.471,30).
