In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Great in You sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 67,224.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Godwin Champs Namuyimba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Connector, which sold at auction in November 2021 for HKD 1,323,000.00 (€ 147,104.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Godwin Champs Namuyimba erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Great in You für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 67.224,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Godwin Champs Namuyimba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Connector beobachtet, die im November 2021 für HKD 1.323.000,00 (€ 147.104,19) versteigert wurde.
