Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work The Real Thing by Glenn Brown. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 680,500.00 (€ 755,637.20). Admittedly, works by Glenn Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,430,479.91).
