Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection, which included the work Drawing 16 (after Van Dyck/Van Dyck) by Glenn Brown. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,369.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,430,479.91).
