This artwork by Gladys Nilsson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2014. In the First Open: Summer Edition auction, the work Versus high frequency funk-ugh-waves sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,069.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gladys Nilsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gladys Nilsson erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Summer Edition wurde die Arbeit Versus high frequency funk-ugh-waves für USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.069,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
