This artwork by Giuseppe Zocchi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2016. In the Brian Sewell - Critic & Collector auction, the work The Nymphaeum on the Esquiline known as the Trofei di Mario, Rome sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,605.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Zocchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,207,500.00 (€ 1,108,306.56).
