Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work A view of the Piazza San Marco, in Florence with, from the left to the right, the Casino della Livia, the Casino Mediceo, the Convent of San Marco, the Giardino dei Semplici and the Accademia di belle arti by Giuseppe Zocchi. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,941.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Zocchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,207,500.00 (€ 1,108,306.56).

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Piazza San Marco, in Florence with, from the left to the right, the Casino della Livia, the Casino Mediceo, the Convent of San Marco, the Giardino dei Semplici and the Accademia di belle arti von Giuseppe Zocchi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.941,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Zocchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.207.500,00 (€ 1.108.306,56).
