Upper estimate price exceeded by 40 %.
In March last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work Le Triomphe De David by Giuseppe Zocchi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,198.00 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Zocchi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 1,207,500.00 (€ 1,108,306.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Triomphe De David von Giuseppe Zocchi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.198,00 und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Zocchi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.207.500,00 (€ 1.108.306,56).
