Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings Part I, which included the work Florence, A View Of The Arno From The Porta San Niccolò by Giuseppe Zocchi. The price achieved of USD 1,229,000.00 (€ 1,088,573.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Other works by Giuseppe Zocchi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2017 the work The Tiber River, Rome, looking towards the Castel Sant'Angelo, with Saint Peter's Basilica beyond was auctioned for USD 1,207,500.00 (€ 1,108,306.56).
