In May 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters, which included the work Still Life With Fish And Molluscs by Giuseppe Recco. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 19,375.00 (€ 21,931.34), 61% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Recco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 282,000.00 (€ 412,884.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Fish And Molluscs von Giuseppe Recco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 19.375,00 (€ 21.931,34) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Recco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 282.000,00 (€ 412.884,33).
