Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life With Roses, Carnations, Tulips And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase, With Pastries And Sweetmeats On A Pewter Platter, On A Stone Ledge In Front Of A Red Curtain by Giuseppe Recco. The price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Recco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain, which sold at auction in April 2007 for GBP 282,000.00 (€ 412,884.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Roses, Carnations, Tulips And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase, With Pastries And Sweetmeats On A Pewter Platter, On A Stone Ledge In Front Of A Red Curtain von Giuseppe Recco zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Recco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain beobachtet, die im April 2007 für GBP 282.000,00 (€ 412.884,33) versteigert wurde.
