Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art | Milan, which included the work Guardare l'aria by Giuseppe Penone. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 85,680.00 22% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Penone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Idee di pietra in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 1,325,000.00 (€ 1,205,202.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guardare l'aria von Giuseppe Penone zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 85.680,00 und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Penone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Idee di pietra im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.325.000,00 (€ 1.205.202,84).
