This work of art by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta could be acquired at Artcurial in March 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, Sculptures auction, the work Recto : Tête De Jeune Homme ; Verso : Le Torse D'Une Académie changed hands for EUR 9,100.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David And Goliath in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 474,728.77).
