This artwork by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2020. In the Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work The Resurrection of Christ sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,775.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work David And Goliath in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 409,250.00 (€ 474,728.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta erzielte im Januar 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna wurde die Arbeit The Resurrection of Christ für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.775,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit David And Goliath im Dezember 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 409.250,00 (€ 474.728,77).
