Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Saint Theresa In Ecstasy by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta. The price achieved of GBP 162,500.00 (€ 178,414.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giovanni Battista Piazzetta - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David And Goliath, which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 409,250.00 (€ 474,728.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Theresa In Ecstasy von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 162.500,00 (€ 178.414,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Giovanni Battista Piazzetta mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit David And Goliath beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 409.250,00 (€ 474.728,77) versteigert wurde.
